Anne De Smet
is Managing Director of Momentum, Professional Conference Organisation. She started Momentum in 1998 after having worked at the K.U.Leuven University for 13 years. During her career at this internationally renowned institute, she acquired a vast experience in organising courses and workshops in an international setting, travelling to different parts of the world. From 1994 to 1998 she gained company management experience when she was the General Co-ordinator of a fast growing non-profit organisation in the Educational sector. From this period stems her experience with printing, publishing and marketing.

Mieke Akkers
is Project Manager.
She joined the team in December 2006, after having worked with the Federation of European Cancer Societies and the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology & Oncology. She has a thorough expertise in international medical conference and event organisation.
She is able to develop, implement and manage all aspects related to organising conferences in a strategic and effective way.

Sabien De Hanscutter
is Project Manager.
She joined the team in January 2008, after having worked with ICEO (International Congress & Event Organizers) and FECS (Federation of European Cancer Societies).
Since 1996 she has been working in conference and meeting organisation. At Momentum she has the responsibility of the day-to-day management of assigned conferences, coordinating and implementing the full range of organisational aspects.

Apart from these project managers who are the backbone of the company, Momentum works with a team of temporary collaborators who are called upon during peak periods. Moreover, Momentum has built up a network of different types of suppliers who have proven their quality and reliability over the years .
We deliberately choose to remain small-scale and to organise only a restricted number of larger projects per year. This way of working is a guarantee to our clients that we treat their projects with a special and personal care.
