35th International Conference on Micro and Nano Engineering (MNE 2009)( 28 September to 1 October 2009 - ICC, Ghent) I don’t want to withold you the congratulations of the president of the MNE steering committee and I wish to thank you all very sincerely for the dedication and the help during the past week and the past 12 months. I certainly don’t take all the credit for the success of the congress. Kurt Ronse, Chair MNE2009 15th ICPPP Conference (International Conference on Photoacoustic and Photothermal Phenomena) (20-23 July, 2009 - Leuven) To future conference organizers, Understanding and Shaping Regions: Spatial, Social and Economic Futures (April 6 to 8, 2009 - Leuven, Belgium) Dear Anne and Sabien,
JOINT MEETING: 8th European Symposium on Polymer Blends - Eurofillers 2005 (May 9 to 12, 2005 - Bruges, Belgium) [....] From the early beginning, the Chairing Committee members decided to work with a Professional Conference Organisation PCO, and Momentum, represented by Mrs Anne De Smet, was selected. Momentum proved highly efficient before, during and after the congress. There is no doubt that this first joint meeting has been a huge success - as witnessed by all the positive letters we received from very satisfied delegates - mainly thanks to the professionalism of Momentum but also all dedication of Anne and her staff. Anne was instrumental in setting up the practical organisation of this international meeting, with a reliable and balanced budget, perfect logistics (transportation, registration, accommodation, catering, audiovisual, social events, …), and permanent and friendly contacts with all delegates - to everyone's great satisfaction. As members of the organising committeeWith Momentum, we always felt that with Momentum "nothing could escape us" and we could concentrate on the scientific aspects of the meeting, leaving all other points safely in Anne's hands. Anne, we would like to express our gratitude for all you did in making this meeting so successful. The so pleasant and relaxing atmosphere felt by the delegates during this scientific congress was largely due to the way you managed its organisation and social events. Anne, thanks a lot for your professionalism, skills and competence, but above all and simply for your kindness! On behalf of the Chairing Committee,
3rd EUROPEAN CONGRESS ON EMERGENCY MEDICINE - Back to the Future (9-13 February 2005) Dear Anne, ACSP-AESOP 3rd JOINT CONGRESS- The Network Society. A new context for Planning (July 8-12, 2003) After the third joint congress ACSP-AESOP with over 600 delegates I feel very fortunate that I involved Momentum as a professional congress organiser right from the beginning of the organisation process. 2nd EUROPEAN PEDIATRIC GI MOTILITY MEETING (April 23-26, 2003) As chair of the organising committee of the Second European Pediatric Gastrointestinal Motility Meeting, I certify that we have been extremely pleased with the services of Mrs. Anne De Smet representing Momentum. 23rd MID-YEAR ANNUAL MEETING OF THE INTERNATIONAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL SOCIETY (July 12 - 15, 2000) As organisers of the 23rd Mid-Year Annual Meeting of the International Neuropsychological Society we feel fortunate that we had the opportunity to work with Anne De Smet from Momentum. Her professional standards are very high and she has engaged herself fully from start till end. Nothing was left to chance and whenever a problem occured she dealt with it immediately and efficiently. We got to know Mrs. De Smet as a very discreet, trustworthy, responsible and competent organiser. We could fully rely on Momentum not only before but also during the conference days, where Mrs. De Smet and her team were in control of the registration and information desk but also of the logistic, technical and accommodation aspects. HOGER INSTITUUT VOOR DE ARBEID (K.U.Leuven) Confidence! Taking care that all aspects of the conference are handled in accordance with the standards of the profession is obvious. However, for me the most important sales argument of Momentum was their empathy with the organiser of the conference who needs to have complete confidence in the smooth progress of the preparations. Furthermore the organiser should be able to concentrate on content and on welcoming the speakers and participants who are his guests. Momentum is able to make this happen by taking care of all these "worries" during the preparation phase and during the conference itself. Momemtum takes care that all aspects of the process are being monitored and double checked. An example during a crucial moment: during the first conference that Momentum organised for us, my confidence was confirmed when I noticed the conference desk that was already neatly organised at 7.45 am when the first lecture was not due until 9 am. And the confidence was complete when at 1.45 pm I noticed how all the participants were urged in the restaurant to return to the conference room for the timely start of the afternoon part SEMINAR ON FACTORY PHYSICS … Because of her highly professional guidance and her care for the smallest detail, the organisation of such an event becomes a pleasant and less encumbering experience for the organiser… Dear Mieke, Anne & Sabien, I wish to thank you all for the very pleasant and smooth cooperation before, during and after the MNE Congress. Thanks to the clear communication which you had as a PCO with us, we have been able to prepare and follow up everything in a smooth way. Thank you and looking forward to a next occasion. Greet Greet Ascrawat - sr. Accountmanager Dear Mieke Thank you very much for your and your colleagues organisation of EFAPCO. It was indeed a great experience to speak to your delegates. I enjoyed the excellent logistics during the conference. Best regards, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 2003 ACSP/AESOP Congress in Leuven was marked by strong organization, top quality language services, good amenities, and excellent information for those traveling from abroad. The logistic questions I posed to the organizers in the weeks and months before the Congress were answered promptly and efficiently, overall this was a very well run event!
